Social Assist Verification (SAV)

For patients covered under by the Ontario Government ‘s social assistance programs (i.e. disability), coverage can be verified via the SAV website.

If an error is encountered when processing social assistant patients such as the one below:

Log onto the SAV website :

Password: LWggxNx7

Enter the patient’s Heathcard # (format must be XXXX-XXX-XX), date of birth (DDMMYYYY) and last name.

Please ask the patient to contact their social worker if the results do not show there is coverage.

If coverage is confirmed, process the prescription using the ML intervention code
