Patients where are 24 years of age and under may be covered by OHIP+. Those who have private coverage via parents, employment or school are not eligible for OHIP+.
Prior to processing the prescription, please inquire with patient if they have private coverage.
Billing for OHIP+ is similar to the senior’s plan, enter patient OHIP number as the id number. You mush also enter “U – No private insurance atesttation” in the special services field.
For newborns, you may receive the following error message “C8” (no record of this beneficiary)”.
To establish eligibility in OHIP+, the pharmacy must submit plan code “J” in the Carrier ID field, include the SSC “U” and specify intervention code “ML”. One day of eligibility will be established
