Some patients will have unusual pricing practices. This patients can be identified by their name in Nexxsys. Their surnames will either have an asterisk (*) or the first 3 letters will be capitalized (i.e. John SMIth). Further information regarding billing will be found in the patient’s notes.
If a patient asks about a discount for their prescription, please use your discretion. In general, for senior who request a discount, Akron Pharmacy can reduce the normal $6.11 copay to $4.11. For online 3rd party plans, we will automatically reduce any copay by $1.00 to match the $9.99 fee charged to cash paying patients. If further discount is requested, the fee can be reduced by another $2.00.
For cash paying customer, if requested, we can reduce the dispensing fee to $8.00.This information is a guide only. In general, Akron Pharmacy will try to accommodate patients to some degree to improve the customer service experience.
