Infection Control: Cleaning

For the safety of patients and pharmacy staff, proper cleaning and sanitization direction should be followed to routinely sanitize surfaces and frequently touched objects in the pharmacy.  Clean high-touch surfaces at least once a day or as often as determined is necessary using a Health Canada approved surface cleaner found https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/drugs-health-products/disinfectants/covid-19/list.html .

Example

Germosolve 5 (DIN 2428903): order from McKesson item #152205.

• Never mix bleach with ammonia or any other cleaner

 • Mix bleach with water in a well-ventilated area
